General Information

Casto Mower is located next to the Civic Center in historic downtown Sanford, Florida a suburb of the Orlando area . Sanford Orlando International Airport is a short distance south of downtown. Sanford is a small town that lies along Lake Monroe. The downtown area has antique shops, restaurants and a well maintain historic district. There is a beautiful new river walk along Lake Monroe just one block from the store. The Marina (pictured) is located behind the store. There is one building between our store and the Marina. The Central Florida Zoo is a short 5 minute drive from downtown Sanford. Casto's is conveniently located to interstate 4 and the 417 greenway. The attractions offered in the Central Florida area are Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World and many smaller theme parks.

Casto's is a lawn mower parts and knife shop owned by Casto Company Inc. The purchase is for Casto Mower in Seminole County only. The store is 75 percent lawnmower parts and 25 percent knives, cutlery, books and collectibles. We sell parts only and do no repair. The city does not allow repair at this location.

The business is being sold due to the owners retiring.

The current phone number for the business (407-324-8418) which has been associated with the mower parts business in this area since 1983 will remain with the retail store. The business has a well established customer base including the City of Sanford, Sanford Airport Authority and the Central Florida Zoo. A list of suppliers for the business will be furnished at the completion of the sale. An introduction will be arranged to meet the factory sales representatives that visit the shop on a regular basis.

The Sanford area currently has two lawnmower shops in the area in addition to Casto's. One is a smaller shop that provides service but limited parts sales and the second is a shop that is mainly new equipment sales and service.

The monthly lease is $695.50. The building has approximately 1300 Square feet. The inventory at this time is approximately $50,000 at wholesale cost. This does not include the store fixtures. We sell mostly aftermarket parts. We do have access to B&S and Tecumseh through the local distributors but have not pursued that line in depth. There is a back entrance for unloading. We have received pallets of parts but the only access to the building is a standard 36 inch door. This is mainly a retail location located in the historic part of Sanford. The name of the business is well known. We have been in the area for about 20 years.

Orientation and training for the business will be provided for a period of 7 days as needed. Instruction will be provided to transfer the required licenses and taxes for the business. Instruction will be given for QuickBooks POS software (provided) which is used as a cash register program, inventory control and to process credit cards. It can be used in conjunction with QuickBooks accounting software.
